Deaker condemns "arrogant" predictions of All Black victory. (June 19, 2011)

Deaker condemns "arrogant" predictions of All Black victory. Quelle effronterie!

"Anyone who is arrogant enough to say that the All Blacks are going to win the Rugby World Cup this year is just DUMB! If you think that all they have to do is turn up, then you are DUMB."
If you were foolish enough or unlucky enough to be listening to Radio
Sport at 12.40 p.m. on Sunday 19 June 2011 (i.e., aujourd'hui) you
would have heard a rich chocolate basso-profundo voice intoning those
words with all the gravitas it's possible to inject into a statement
of mind-numbing banality.
Banal words, but true words, that make sense, albeit on the most
uninteresting and obvious level. Except...
Except...
Except that the speaker was MURRAY DEAKER, the lowering bully and
microphone jockey who bears most of the blame for the existence of the
vehement, droning, pig-ignorant bores who make those DUMB predictions.
What gall, what utter shameless effrontery Deaker has, to sound off
like that about his own acolytes!
As we say in Chez Breen: quelle effronterie!
