Rugby referee's ruining the game!!!! (June 24, 2003)

Does anybody know how we might be able to get a hold of Bill Harrigan to
referee the RWC final!!!!!!!

It is hard to believe that there are dickhead referee's like Stuart
Dickinson who give in excess of 15 penalties before half time and ruin the
game of rugby.
It is becoming boring thanks to this type of strict 'by the book' refereeing
rather than just getting a feel for the game and allowing the
supporters to enjoy some good football.

There has been little discussion about this lately.......................???

6/24/03  Uncle Bully It was 32 in total I beleive. By comparison Harrigan gave away 3 in SOO1. Union has more rules so there's bound to be more penalties but yes, 32 Penalties was about 20 too much.

6/26/03  Sam Musgrave Well at least I enjoyed the State of Origin last night. Stuart Dickinson certainly makes that IMPOSSIBLE for rugby followers. Bill Harrigan has a feel for the game and lets it flow. There's always going to be a few cheap shots and hits in ORIGIN

Now, I may be mistaken, but that looks like Mr Daley is PRAISING Andre
Watson.

If he IS praising the South African whistle-blower, why?  

And when, pray, was Andre Watson "in his prime"?  Mr Daley possibly
missed the telecast of the 1999 World Cup final, where Watson
single-handedly took control of the match, robbing France of two - not
one, but TWO - first half tries, and ruining the game as a spectacle.
