I missed it. If someone could summarise what it was about it would be much
appreciated.

Some rich white racists in Auckland don't like Polynesians, say
they're violent and "too big".  Concoct preposterous racial theory to
justify this.  It's been going on since the 1960s.
Silly old anthropology professor wheeled on, blithers about
Polynesians not wearing clothes, developing "fast twitch" fibres.
Sports agent Kahu Barron-Afeaki, who is allegedly "writing a book"
about what he calls "the Polynesian super race" blithers, in apparent
seriousness.  Norm Hewitt agrees with theory too.  (Is he STILL
drinking that heavily?  I thought he'd given it up.)
If you've listened to idiots like Murray Deaker over the last ten
years, you've heard it all before.  It's also been repeated in
substandard magazines like NZ Rugby World and in books like Joseph
Romanos' already forgotten The Judas Game.   Auckland Grammar
headmasters seem to be the source of much of it - John Graham was
slamming "violent and huge Polynesians" a generation ago, and present
incumbent John Morris repeats the calumny whenever he is asked -
usually by NZ Rugby World.

IIRC there is some substance in the idea that people from Pacific
islands that had a low amount of fat available, developed a specialist
muscle tone to deal with cold: Basically they had a very anaerobic
make-up and could do some serious shivering to keep warm, which is
what shivering does....
It's all true, but sadly, has not worked for Scebe or Matua, the
results of decades of lard can clearly be seen, between their ears.

Top thinkers agree: Polynesians are super race
When an understandably sceptical Barry Phease asked Peter Ashford if
he had anything on which to base his astonishing statement about
Polynesians "maturing earlier", Mr Ashford replied thusly...

> assume they're lying.
Hmmmm... I wonder who these "academics" on the "telly" who have
"studied" this might be.   By any chance, would they come from the
following  group of cutting edge thinkers?  I will list each of these
world class minds, and summarise their key contributions to the field
of sports science...
1.)  Doctor Murray Deaker (Auckland College of Bigotry).  Key ideas:
"Boofhead Polynesians are dumbing down the game"; "Maoris are lazy and
lack the intelligence to play cricket".
2.)  Professor John Graham (Chancellor, Auckland University)   Key
idea:  "I'm concerned about violent Polynesians dominating the game".
3.)  Emeritus Professor Rushton Limbaugh  (Chief lecturer, American
Institute of Ignorance and Race Hatred).  Key idea:  "Negroes such as
Donovan McNabb are lazy and lack the intelligence to play football.
Awwwww look, they fired me.   This country is so darned politically
correct."
4.)  Mr Paul Holmes (Fellow of the Royal Society of Nigger Lynchers,
winner of Allan Dershowitz prize for broadcasts in support of
torture.)    Key ideas:  "Maoris are money-hungry scum - prepare to go
BALLISTIC.  I am a good man.  I am not one of those racist
broadcasters - not like those ones who use coded racism.  You KNOW who
they are.  I am a good man."
5.)  Leighton Smith Ph.D (Denver State).  Key idea:  "Muhammad Ali is
a nigger."
Was it one of these distinguished academics that you saw on the
"telly", Mr Ashford?  I think we should be told.
