A tribute by Kerre ohoWmad, NewstalkZB
It is a really dangerous and wicked thing for a serious news
organisation, like NewstalkZB, to record anything of Bruce Emery, a
man who has strong convictions, and who, if mad, showed his madness in
a very tactical manner. Emery, by killing a nondescript Maori
certainly went a little further than twenty-first century ethics
expects of a man with a mission.
Still, his homicide opened New Zealand's eyes wider than ever to a
colored curse, which even now is a problem, but with which posterity
will have to grapple. It is, I repeat, a dangerous thing for a radio
station like this to say anything capable of bearing the construction
of lionising Bruce Emery. No one apart from Garth McVicar ever made a
hero of Emery, no paper ever recorded
Emery's utterances as the weighty utterances of a statesman, and
NewstalkZB certainly never incented the pudgy "tiger" of Manurewa to
deeds of lawlessness against the alien within our gates.
Pathetic pious "liberals" would have everybody believe that recent
attacks on Maori, such as the epic anti-Maori rants by out-and-out
racists like Christine Rankin, Paul Holmes (RIP) and Michael Laws were
due to the canonisation of Bruce Emery, forgetting all the while that
the white, young or old, has a natural antipathy to anything brown,
Treaty of Waitangi notwithstanding.
The small boy, the youth, and the man will always look at the Maori as
his natural enemy, and it is foolish of liberals to think or say
otherwise. Of course, the ignorance of a recently-imported inkslinger
like Noelle McCarthy trying to paint Emery a blackguard, the endeavor
to create an Emery scare by picturing him as a ruffian ready to murder
the first being that crossed his path, is responsible for the truly
remarkable letter to this station by his staunchest fan, S.S. man
Garth "String-'Em-Up-If-They're-
If anybody should be able to form a just estimate of Emery's
character, it is Garth McVicar. He writes: "Mr Emery has,
unfortunately, placed himself in a position which causes people,
though it does not entitle them, to speak, write, and act as though he
had neither understanding, nor feeling, nor sensibility. The fact that
a man of strong convictions and intense earnestness of purpose has
felt impelled to act, and has acted, in a way which gained him entry
to a hospital for mental diseases, affords no excuse for insulting
public references, which can do nothing but harm. It is not reassuring
to lonely women in the back country to read alarming and suggestive
articles representing as a particularly dangerous type of criminal a
man who in reality is a singularly kind and courteous gentleman, who
would never dream of molesting or harming them in any way."
A nasty jab on the jaw for an ignorant Irish inkslinger this. The
bitch. (Can I say that on air, Glenn?)
Call me about Bruce Emery or any other Kiwi hero on NewstalkZB, 0800
80 1080. You'll get straight through.
NewstalkZB. Tune Your Mind.
Professor Longhair: A disgusting post by one of the most disgusting hosts at the most
disgusting radio station in New Zealand. Well done, you hapless harridan.
Radio Transcripts Ltd: Stupid racist cow.
