Six years’ jail for pervert whose mum found underage girls in his van… The 39-year-old was jailed for six years at the Victorian County Court on Wednesday after pleading guilty to more than 20 offences. Cooper sent dozens of messages and sexually explicit images to girls over Facebook between January 2016 and November 2017, the court heard. He offered two teenagers hundreds of dollars for sex, but they declined his advances.
“Over a period of nearly two years you persistently preyed on a large number of underage females using social media,” Judge Meryl Sexton said. “The internet makes it all too easy for sexually deviant people like you to access girls for your own sexual gratification. Further, you followed through with personal contact with three of them, who were not emotionally or socially mature enough to realise the danger they were placing themselves in.” Judge Sexton said Cooper, who lied about his age, had sought to take sexual advantage of the teenagers.
He was arrested in August last year, after meeting up with two 15-year-old girls in NSW, taking them to a motel and then to his home in Victoria. They were discovered in Cooper’s van by his mother while he was at work and the girls later contacted their families, who alerted police. At the time of his offending Cooper was on the sex offenders’ register after a 2009 conviction for sexual activity with a child and was required to report contact with anyone underage.

An American woman, about the same age as Grace Millane, just got stabbed and killed by a room-mate in the Netherlands. Are we hearing much about that? I bet their PM won’t be apologizing on behalf of the country or any candlelit vigils be held. Her killer is supposed to be male as well.
That’s one reason our P.M. is so popular internationally as well as domestically. She is a genuinely caring person.
Yes, she has her faults: fifteen years ago she was unwise enough and callow enough to accept a job on the staff of the notorious Tony Setworldonfiar, and some of her Cabinet appointments—Shane Jones, Stuart Nash—have been poor, but she’s a superstar nonetheless; she and her very cool partner are the closest thing this country has ever had to JFK and Jackie.
The National Party and its small, bitter band of supporters are reduced to misogynistically abusing her and taunting him as “gay”. That’s going to be the scenario in this country until at least November 2026.
It’s not her personality that worries me though. Thatcher was a hardass. It’s that Cindy is an avowed socialist on the one hand, and hasn’t a clue what she is doing on the other. Ignorance and arrogance in a person are a recipe for disaster.
