Yenta Hodge would no doubt have smeared Gerald Kaufman. (Jul. 10, 2019)

If the legendary Jewish Labour MP Gerald Kaufman was still alive today, don't you just know that the witch-hunters would be trying to drive him out of the party for alleged "anti-Semitism"?

They might have tried but I reckon he might have been a bit more formidable than the present unfortunates being targeted by the lickspittles and assorted barking yentas.

The quote from Kaufman does emphasis how right wing politics has become and how identity politics very much ties in with neo liberal narrative. I remember Kaufman as an MP, this was no radical, he was very much on the centre right of the Labour party, yet you cannot imagine anyone in the current PLP making a similar statement, certainly not Jeremy Corbyn, and if they did they would be calle anti semitic and expelled from the party. Dark days indeed.

Kaufman, a sweet Jew, was all over the place politically I seem to remember. I always thought, in the beginning, that he was very well-informed and intelligent, but too rightwing for my tastes! Ha, ha, ha, how times change.

What's bizarre and unhealthy is how the ultra-nationalism of political Zionism in Israel and outside, echoes many of the traits of German ultra-nationalism, which, in reality is the historical manure that particular ghastly weed grew out of in old, central Europe.

Israel, right or wrong, even when their heavily armed soldiers use civilians and children for target practice in a ghetto surrounded by a barbed-wire fence! Christ, who would have thought that Jews, of all people, would have come to resemble Nazis imposing 'discipline' on the people trapped in a ghetto?

Where are those on the 'left' demanding that Hodge and the Fiends of Israel condemn this terrible acts of military violence, which surely, must be defined as warcrimes? Why is there no push-back? Why doesn't the Labour leadership speak clearly and boldly, and address the vast, overwhelming majority of the British population, who aren't Jews? Where is the Muslim community in the UK, why don't they speak out about the atrocities in Gaza and the Occupation of Muslim land? The attempt to wipe a Muslim community, culture and people, off the map?
