Like other western states, France possesses incredible technologies, amassed for trillions of euros, which could destroy entire cities in moments.
But only invested in too short ladders and hosepipes to safeguard #NotreDame and its built heritage and people.

- because TV images show the ladders reaching 2/3 to the top.
- That's because a normal motorised ladder has a maximum height of 30m and the nave is 35m high. There are virtually no ladders that would reach that high. It's really quite simple. The fire is still burning. Might be an idea to learn a bit more before using it for politics, non?
- A nation that has spent billions on nuclear weapons and their delivery systems has not developed a better technology than a 30m ladder for firefighting. A point which requires a tiny amount of lateral thinking not difficult for anyone but a right wing bigot.

- Ok Craig, please tell us the make a model of the highest Fire Fighting cherry picker that you are aware of. Also, please do tell us the psi required to get water from the mains, up over the 55 m walls.
- You’ve obviously no experience of lead work and roofing. Chemicals, heavy lifting, molten heat & precarious practice & great risk is normal. Anything can go wrong anytime. For a church ffs.
