What’s the problem with Murray Deaker? A reply to “Longknives”.
The cynical abuse of this forum’s absurd and anti-democratic “six complaints” mechanism has resulted in both of the first two instalments of our series Making Fun of Stupid Peoplebeing suppressed here, which is supposed to be a place for open and robust debate. The enemies of free speech who have suppressed MFoSP have also suppressed the comments of other Kiwibloggers. (So much for open and free debate.) Amongst those suppressed comments was this one by my good friend Longknives:

I have been on Deaker’s case for many years. I think he’s responsible more than anyone else for the abject state of sports, especially rugby, commentary in this country. His behaviour after the 1999 RWC final was not only a disgrace, it was treacherous and hateful, and most of all, ignorant. Deaker is, thankfully, not heard or seen much these days but a generation ago he was all over the media. I haven’t wasted much time recently thinking about the horror of his notorious radio show or his cretinous television performances, but I welcome the opportunity to rehash some of what I’ve written about him over the years. I will put some of these items up here, and in extended form on my blog, in the next few days. In the meantime, here’s a sampler of my writing about Murray Deaker, AKA “The Screaming Skull”, AKA “Anders” Dickhead, AKA “The Mouth from the South”, AKA “Deaks”….
