The French knew what was going to happen before they went in to this game, I think Paddy O’Brien did brilliantly to ensure a benign referee from New Zealand’s point of view was in charge. He didn’t referee them at the breakdown, he was completely inconsistent. That Kaino non-decision was just disgraceful. That was on the 40-metre line and was very kickable.
