Meatheads of Dunedin No. 2: The “S.G.C.”
Members of a “secret society” sculled glasses of wine after they were ejected from a Dunedin restaurant, then annoyed patrons at another eatery nearby. The group hit headlines earlier this week after patrons complained of their drunken behaviour at India Garden in central Dunedin last Sunday. The men, described as highly intoxicated, were reportedly kicked out of nearby restaurant The Asian before going to the Indian restaurant. …..
The men consumed multiple glasses of wine each, before concerned patrons told management. ….
“I would like to tell them that this kind of behaviour is not on, and it totally ruined my date night.”
She tried to tell the group the same message while leaving the restaurant on Sunday, but said she was told to “f… off”.
A manager at the restaurant said the party were not intoxicated, but the diner claimed one of the men appeared so drunk he could not walk unaided.
