A man believed to be a volunteer for Clive Palmer’s United Australia Party has been fined for allegedly exposing himself at a polling station in western Sydney. Police said the 67-year-old committed the offensive act after getting into a dispute at the voting centre at Bankstown Public School. It is alleged he exposed himself in front of at least three women and a man. He was issued with an infringement notice and ordered to move on.A witness said the altercation began when the man approached her as she handed out how-to-vote cards for local Labor MP Jason Clare. “He was very problematic and he was aggressive and abusing me and calling me a moron and calling me names and I removed myself from the situation,” Mariam Mourad said. ….The United Australia Party (UAP) candidate for Blaxland, Nadeem Ashraf, said it was unacceptable someone wearing party apparel would behave in that manner.“I do not want my wife to be exposed to seeing anything like that and I’m pretty sure the public and community of Blaxland and of Australia do not want to be exposed to dirty and horrific acts of that,” he said. ….
