Kieran Read’s moronic performance this morning on RNZ National
Kieran “Vulnerable” Read interviewed by Kathryn Read

Kieran Read used the puerile word “footy” several times during the interview. Is he afraid of, or incapable of using the word “football”? He also repeatedly used the word “group” instead of “team.”

It was interesting that Kathryn Ryan never challenged his curious use of language.

At the end, she noted that popular reaction to the semifinal loss to England had been surprisingly calm and mature. Read replied that the reason was simple: “We showed we were vulnerable.”

Kieran Read is carrying on a grievous tradition of meatheaded use of language….
