Have been impressed by Mate senior before, and he comes across well here, very honest about his 'disillusionment'. Important to get into the emotional drives underlying the politics, acknowledging the basic validity of Jews wanting control over their destiny and freedom from oppression while not excusing subsequent behaviour towards Palestinians (who in turn have their own equally understandable responses). Good also to hammer on that issue of identification, which could considerably undermine Israel's support from the international Jewish community, as with so many other phoney allegiances people get bound up in with countries, religions, corporations, systems that are parasitising off their life force. Not only have you not wronged her, you've given her too much credit by implying that she needs someone like Freedland breathing down her neck to make her suppress such material. If the Guardian's track record since she assumed the position of editor-in-chief is anything to go by, she's quite capable of such journalistic malfeasance on behalf of power on her own initiative.

I posted this video on "Kiwiblog", a right wing NZ site and it was Posted by Morrissey on November 10, 2019, 2:45 am, in reply to "Gabor and Aaron Mate discuss misuse of anti-semitism (video)" removed almost immediately by the "moderator".
